Brainstorm Blog #4: Choose Your Own Webventure!

For this final project, I want to create an underwater adventure! I recently planned a trip to the Dominican Republic and it is making me very excited to go explore the ocean and relax in a tropical place. This has inspired me to dive into the idea of an underwater exploration with twists and turns for the viewer to experience.

I think that I will want to start my adventure by giving the viewer a choice to dive off a dock or get into a boat, and then see where both of those choices take them. I am not sure on the exact layout of every choice I will have in my Webventure yet, but I do have some thoughts for twists, turns, and 'easter eggs' throughout.

Some ideas I'm thinking of are swimming with different animals, being chased/attacked by some 'scary' animals, finding a sunken ship, exploring a creepy cave, getting sucked into a whale's mouth, and more. A couple ideas for 'easter eggs' are links to real-life scuba diving videos, a funny sea animal video, or maybe a "Baby Shark" song video, but I will definitely think of more and come up with new ideas as I begin to create this Webventure. For an exit strategy, I think it would be interesting to have a shell, pearl or sun shape as the button, to go along with the theme.

Overall, I hope that this project allows the viewer to have a enjoyable exploration through an underwater world that people don't often get to experience. For me, I hope that the creation of this allows me to feel relaxed and even more excited for the vacation I get to go on soon! I am looking forward to exploring these hidden links and GIF creations in order to involve the viewer, and myself, in an enticing adventure.
