Brainstorm Blog #1: Zine - tell me a visual story

For project one, I decided that I want to make a Zine that is fun but also meaningful to me. Thinking of it in that essence, I landed on the idea of feminism/womanism, as well as just showcasing the beauty, strength and uniqueness of all women.

I think it would be very cool to have the shape of my Zine be breasts, and so I would cut out each image/page accordingly. I will have it be around the size of a half sheet of paper because I want it to be something that is easy to carry around so that one can always remind themself of how incredible women are, but I don't want to make it too small to where it would diminish the great images and meaning behind the project.

As far as the actual images that I am thinking of including and creating, I want there to be a wide variety. Some ideas that have come to mind so far -- all subject to change as I begin to actually create the Zine and play with Illustrator and Photoshop -- include, but are not limited to: a woman with her arms wrapped around the globe and resting her head, a uterus with middle fingers up, women hugging, an angry cat, a page of boobs, and much more.

Overall, I really want this Zine to be a playful but empowering piece of artwork that anyone can carry around with them whenever they need a reminder of the shear strength, resilience, beauty and harmony of all women.
